Despite their importance in the specialty coffee market, there are unresolved technical issues with current single-dose grinders. One of the main problems is clumps, which refers to a regrinding effect with an empty hopper, which results in pipes with straw compared to those with a full hopper.
To solve the clumps problem, Ozic Grinder adopted the “Bean Thruster”. The “Bean Thruster” is a new mechanism designed to provide consistent and optimized pressure to the beans throughout the grinding process, functioning as a complete virtual hopper. To achieve consistency throughout the entire process, more than 25 different technical approaches have been introduced into this engine.

Theall has been engineered with precision to achieve maximum quality, durability and has been carefully tested and examined. To find the ideal weight for the “Bean Thruster”, numerous tests were carried out using various parameters and weights ranging from 100g,200g, 300g,400g,500g,600g, 700g to 1kg where the quality of the beans was closely monitored, tested and evaluated with reference to grinding spectra. To achieve the best weight balance and optimization the “Bean Thruster” also underwent numerous tests in the design process, including coatings, bearings, materials and location of the center of gravity.
